Job Summary
Working within the Port of Dover’s IT Department, many elements of your role will be supporting and leading a team of three DevOps engineers, in addition to this you will also have the opportunity to work on projects and play a key role in shaping the IT Strategy, further enhancing your skills and knowledge within this unique department.

In this role you will:
• Provide day to day line management of the IT Applications team
• Plan and monitor the delivery of the teams’ work load
• Scope IT work and assess resource and cost commitments
• Work closely with the IT Support and Infrastructure teams, to achieve departmental objectives
• Work closely with the Business Change team in providing technical input to the continued evolution of the corporate ERP system
• Communicate with the whole business on IT matters
• Produce IT documentation e.g. procedures
• Produce gateway approval papers and present for approval
• Manage assigned projects to ensure the desired result is achieved
• Attend the change advisory board and other IT management forums

Skills and Qualifications
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience within a similar role, including people management
• Experience with an ERP system preferably IFS Applications (desirable)
• Be able to demonstrate technical understanding of: Application Support, Database Administration, Business Intelligence, Agile development methodology and Cyber Security
• Experience of IT legislation and regulation e.g. GDPR
• Be able to be part of an on call rota system
• Full, clean driving licence with use of own vehicle
