About the job
This position will report to the Operations Manager, and will involve working closely with site operatives and liaising with clients. The main responsibility of this role is to ensure that work is being carried out to meet client requirements and that sites are set up in a safe and controlled manner . Duties will include planning work and scheduling tasks to ensure projects are completed in the necessary timeframe, carrying out risk assessments, giving site briefings, providing reports and updates to the Operations Manager and clients, and managing site operatives, including performance, conduct, and training. Some overtime or on call work will be required dependent upon work activities.
About the successful applicant
The ideal candidate will have experience in either the Utilities or Construction sectors. Experience in CCTV surveying, jet cleaning, tankering and rehabilitation techniques would be beneficial but not essential as training will be provided. A methodical and organised approach is required, with excellent time management skills and the ability to schedule work effectively. An aptitude for problem solving and working to deadlines will also be required. Excellent people skills will be essential, including communication and influencing abilities. In addition, good knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel will be necessary. A full driving licence is essential.
