ACB is a market-leading waste management company based on the 20/20 Business Park in Aylesford, Kent. We are seeking a self-motivated, organised and enthusiastic individual to join our team.

The successful applicant must be capable of using their own initiative, possess good communication skills and have a personable nature. They must also have energy, be focussed on the task at hand, hardworking, methodical, and trustworthy, as well as the ability to multi-task, take on extra tasks as required, have a conscientious approach to work, whilst maintaining a good sense of humour. A knowledge of radioactive materials, waste management and experience of working in health physics will be a distinct advantage.

All applicants must meet the following criteria:

Mandatory:
• Well organised, with excellent attention to detail
• Clear and legible handwriting
• Fluent English
• Over 18+ years of age
• Eligible to work continuously in the UK
• Non-smoker; ACB is a non-smoking company
• Must be able to work away with overnight stays
• Full UK driving licence, preferably with own transport

General:
• Excellent understanding of written English
• Ability to communicate at all levels
• Team player
• Pleasant and courteous

The role will include:
• Employment as a radiation worker
• Work as a waste technician and/or waste monitor
• Packing of wastes for disposal
• UK mainland site visits, including overnight stays
• Working under laboratory conditions with appropriate PPE
• Training towards obtaining an ADR Class 7 Licence

Working hours:
• 08:30 – 17:30 Monday to Friday with breaks for lunch

Payment and benefits:
• From £25,000 per annum depending upon age and experience
• Health insurance (after qualifying period)
