A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a dynamic, talented, and enthusiastic junior/graduate developer to join a fast-growing small business based in Kent.

Sports Directory is a dynamic sports company selling quality sports equipment to schools & local authorities across the UK

You will be working within a small friendly team in a ‘non-corporate’ environment where you will field a wide spectrum of IT solutions.

Essential Requirements:
• A degree in Computer Science or a closely related discipline or other relevant IT qualifications.
• Evidence of experience in web application development.
• A good knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, CSS and Ajax.
• A good knowledge of MS-SQL.
• A good understanding of interactions between server-side processing and client-side scripts.
• Readiness to learn .Net and C#
• Exposure to unit and integration testing will be an advantage but not required
• Exposure to source control / continuous integration will be an advantage (Visual Studio Online) but not required
• Experience of basic desktop support (Software installation / configuration) will be an advantage but not required

Key Responsibilities:
• Working within a team to support and maintain bespoke desktop software solutions and web applications.
• Producing well-commented, high quality, clean and performant code in accordance with set best practices.
• Analyzing and resolving technical and application problems.
• Participate in software testing and other quality assurance activities.
• Package and support deployment of software releases as and when necessary.
• Be ready to act as second line desktop support for internal staff

Ideally, we are looking for someone who is not easily flustered, not afraid of hard work and flexible enough to cope with a large amount of work all at once, while maintaining a good sense of humour.
