Are you an experienced Buyer looking for the opportunity to progress your career?
Our clients based in Gillingham are seeking a Buyer due to expansion. They offer fantastic career progression opportunities and excellent company benefits.
Your duties:
* You will manage stock levels and ensure they are at a significant level at all times.
* Manage customer orders
* Resolve any orders issues in a timely and effective manner
* Work inline with company budgets, making sure products are cost effective but still at a high standard.
* Negotiate with suppliers face to face and over the phone.
* Work closely with internal teams to ensure price lists are regularly updated
* Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and Senior Management teams
* Work alongside customer policies and procedures.
* Review supply chains to make improvements where necessary
* Achieve targets which have been set by Senior Management.
The candidate:
* This role will suit someone who comes from a Wholesale/Distribution background.
* You must be passionate about delivering results at a high standard
* You must be self motivated and have the ability to manage your own workload
* Display strong administration skills.
* Educated to A Level standard or equivalent.
* Computer literate in all Microsoft programmes.
* You will have the ability to work in a team and also individually.
