Highly professional practice of Accountants is now looking for an additional member for its bookkeeping team. The role is varied and will involve regular contact with clients visiting the office and over the phone.
You will be looking after clients for their bookkeeping needs across a range of software packages. There is an organised programme in place for transferring clients to cloud-based bookkeeping packages – Xero, QuickBooks and Kashflow, so knowledge of these would be valuable. You will be training clients on how to use these packages and supporting them through use. You will also be completing management accounts, bank reconciliations and VAT returns.
There is scope for this role to progress into an office VAT Manager specialism.
Some work will be undertaken in the office and for some, you will need to travel to clients premises.
The company is highly systemised and through the effective use of technology they ensure a high-quality customer service and compliance. This includes document scanning for the paperless office; maintaining the client database; and chasing outstanding paperwork.
In recent years the company has achieved impressive growth through its customer referral program, regular marketing campaigns and a systemised approach to working with clients.
Progress towards an AAT or bookkeeping qualification would be of great interest. You will need to be highly professional in your approach and appearance.
Consideration will be given to flexible working hours.
