If you would like to join a vibrant, progressive and innovative company, we have an exciting opportunity for an individual who is proactive, enjoys meeting new people and can maintain strong relationships with both internal and external customers as a Hire Controller in our Canterbury Hire Shop. Experience in a similar role would be ideal, but more important is a willingness to learn, and the drive to succeed.
Key Responsibilities:
• Arranging hires of equipment
• Arranging cross hires from taking orders right through to collection.
• To develop a thorough understanding of our product uses and applications so that customers are informed and satisfied throughout the process.
• Assisting with logistics such as, completing hire contracts, delivery/collection notes to enable delivery and/or collections to be made as and when the client requires.
• Ensuring the branch manager is kept informed of daily branch progress.
• Completing any administrative duties required
• Making proactive calls to generate business
• Accurately updating of the CRM system and production of appropriate internal and external paperwork
• Promote our range of products and services to customers
• Ad hoc. assisting of shop floor duties such as manning the front desk, stock replenishment etc.
Experience:
• Over the counter trade and hire experience
• Developing additional profitable business from existing customers and prospects.
• Developing and maintaining knowledge of stock inventories, accessories and safety and test & run requirements
• Ability to increase customer spend through add on sales and associated products
• Ability to promote a professional image to customers at all times.
• Ability to assist in ensuring we have a full and effective display of products.
• Ability to be proactive in identifying advertising and promotional ideas.
• Ability to demonstrate machinery, where applicable

Monday - Thursday 7.30am - 5.00pm
Friday 8.00am - 5.00pm
