This represents a great opportunity for you to join an ambitious firm of Accountants & Business Advisors. The firm is now looking to recruit an experienced practice person to complete client management accounts and VAT returns and provide comprehensive support to the team.

Your role will include

- Day to day bookkeeping for a diverse portfolio of clients
- Posting client payroll, sales and supplier invoices
- Clearing aged creditors and suspense accounts
- Bank reconciliations
- Posting accruals and prepayments
- Completing working papers and posting necessarily adjustments (Balance Sheet reconciliation)
- Preparing Monthly / Quarterly Management Accounts including graphs and analysis for clients
- Completing VAT Returns and submitting online
- Creating new clients on Sage, and generally responding to client’s queries

This will be a busy role with plenty of client contact. The practice uses a range of accounting software, including cloud-based packages. Working closely with your clients, and the firm’s qualified Accountants you will play an important role in the accounting function.

Ideally a full-time position, although reduced hours may be considered. It is essential that you have experience of working within a practice of accountants. A professional bookkeeping, or AAT qualification would be beneficial.
