ROLE INSIGHT

Reporting to the Creative Director and Team Lead, you’ll be in a team of hard-working, fun-loving, multi-disciplinary Designers, Content Experts and Web Developers who collaborate closely with each other to create experiences that inspire, engage and excite our customers!
You will act as the primary user advocate, ensuring that users have an amazing experience at every step of the journey when visiting our digital real estate. You’ll be able to produce great design as well as identifying strategic opportunities. A successful UX/UI Designer at Watchfinder will be able to present and justify strategic solutions and designs to inspire and motivate the rest of the UX team.
You’ll be a master at balancing the needs of the business with the needs of the end user while producing solutions to different challenges. Your creative flair for designing beautiful layouts that are engaging will be a huge tick for us here! This will continually support the UX & Design team to maintain/improve the user experience.

TYPICAL ACTIVITIES:

• Collaborate with other members of UX & D to produce user-centered sketched concepts, user journeys, wireframes, and prototypes, following the UX design flow.
• Develop the visual and interactive elements of the user experience, ensuring that typography, layout and brand identity are well considered.
• Work with the UX team to produce the best designs and user experience to represent the business.
• Proactively generate projects and identify areas for improvement.
• Assist the UX team in all areas of the department and be a good team player.
• Present new ideas and initiatives to the UX team on a regular basis.
• Work with data provided to produce considered solutions and seamless digital experiences for the end user.
• Communicate well with stakeholders to understand the business needs and technical restraints.

ABOUT YOU…

• A creative problem-solver who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• Must have a strong portfolio that showcases your UX design work.
• A good understanding of industry standard design tools (e.g. Adobe Creative Suite, Invision, Sketch etc.)
• Have experience with sketching, wireframing and prototyping.
• Experience using prototyping software and producing mocks
• Experience creating UI animations
• A strong understanding of best practices for responsive web design
• Show a strong understanding of layout, color usage, and typography
• Team Spirit: Strong communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholders


BENEFICIAL BUT NONESSENTIAL:
• Experience with Google Analytics
• Experience with Hotjar
• Experience designing icons
• Experience on HTML, CSS, and JS is a plus
