SENIOR BRAND MANAGER
Shepherd Neame is Britain’s oldest Brewery based in Faversham, Kent. As an independent family business we own and operate over 328 pubs and produce a wide range of ales and lagers, including Spitfire Ale, Whitstable Bay and Bishops Finger.
Reporting directly to the Head of Marketing, the newly positioned role of Senior Brand Manager will lead and develop the brand strategy for our Whitstable Bay portfolio as well as a number of our other discovery brands.
We are looking for degree-educated individuals (or equivalent experience) with creativity, commercial acumen and passion for the beer industry and pub trade to develop and deliver a step-change in the strategic thinking and delivery of our brand plans.
You will also be responsible for leading the strategy, development and roll-out of our NPD programme, in collaboration with a highly skilled cross-functional team. You will have a real skill at building strong stakeholder relationships and demonstrate prior experience of implementing and driving multi-channel brand campaigns.
ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Senior Brand Manager will bring to life the experience and lifestyle of our Whitstable Bay portfolio and discovery brands through development and implementation of a multi-channel strategic growth plan, as well as define a new integrated approach to our NPD pipeline.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop, implement and measure integrated national multi-channel campaign for Whitstable Bay
• Build scale and consumer pull for our newly launched craft offerings through cross-channel marketing campaigns
• Lead development and roll-out of NPD pipeline in collaboration with brewing and retail teams, based on core consumer insight and measuring and codifying scalable growth opportunities
• Brand P&L and A&P accountability
• Coach and develop Assistant Brand Manager
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR:
• Strategic thinker and commercially astute
• Minimum 6 years’ experience in relevant industry, beer industry experience preferred
• Competent in managing brand P&L and strong commercial acumen to evaluate ROI
• Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills; good team player
• Strong track record of success in branded product marketing
• Excellent digital skills and experience of building brand footprint and advocacy online
• High standards of execution and commitment to delivery
• Passion for our beer and our pubs
• High-quality generalist with energy, positivity and exceptional people skills
BENEFITS:

• 25 days holiday, plus bank holidays
• Contributory Pension scheme
Fulltime, 37.5 hours per week. 08:30 - 17:00, Monday to Friday with 1 hour lunch (unpaid). This role will however include some weekend and evening duties from time to time to meet the needs of the business.
