PUBS MARKETING MANAGER

Shepherd Neame is Britain’s oldest Brewery based in Faversham, Kent. As an independent family business we own and operate over 328 pubs and produce a wide range of ales and lagers, including Spitfire Ale, Whitstable Bay and Bishops Finger.

Reporting directly to the Head of Marketing, the new role of Pubs Marketing Manager will lead and develop a new marketing strategy for our Shepherd Neame pub estate both retail and tenanted outlets, across London and the South East.

We are looking for an On Trade professional with creativity, commercial acumen and passion for the beer industry and pub trade to drive incremental growth in our pub estate by developing and executing a new marketing approach that brings to life the consumer experience, increases footfall and drives awareness for our brands.

You will lead, implement and evaluate cross-functional initiatives in collaboration with a highly skilled marketing and pubs team. You will have a real skill at building strong stakeholder relationships and demonstrate prior experience of implementing and driving On Trade pub marketing campaigns.

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Pubs Marketing Manager will drive incremental growth in our pub estate by developing and executing a new marketing approach that brings to life the consumer experience and increase footfall, measured by robust sales and service indicators.

• Develop and implement multi-channel marketing campaigns across our retail and tenanted estate to increase consumer footfall and drive awareness for our brands
• Pilot a new approach to drive incremental growth in key outlets by trialling and evaluating a series of initiatives that bring to life the individual personality of each location and create compelling consumer pull campaigns
• Inspire, engage and collaborate with our exceptional pub teams to drive advocacy and passion for our company and brands
• Work with a cross-functional team to increase direct accommodation bookings
• Lead key projects to leverage power of our full pub estate, such as cross-marketing of sites, link to brewery visits
• Work with communications team to deliver compelling visual campaign assets

• Competent in managing brand P&L and strong commercial acumen to evaluate ROI

• Excellent digital skills and experience of building brand footprint and advocacy online

Fulltime, 37.5 hours per week. 08:30 - 17:00, Monday to Friday with 1 hour lunch (unpaid). This role will however include some weekend and evening duties from time to time to meet the needs of the business.
