Ever fancied working in the travel industry? We are currently looking for a motivated and driven Sales Consultant to join our friendly team in Maidstone. Ski Amis are a catered chalet company that have been crafting flexible ski holiday packages in France for nearly 30 years.

If you are a skier or snowboarder and would like to talk about it all day, then this is the job for you! Alternatively, experience working the travel industry in general would also be considered. In this role, you will report to the Sales and Marketing Manager and be among a driven, enthusiastic team of sales consultants. There is also the opportunity for promotion into the Senior Sales Consultant role.

Your responsibilities will include

• Responding to Holiday Enquiries
• Dealing with Reservations
• Booking Administration
• Maximising Sales Conversions
• Up-selling Extra Services
• Achieving Sales Targets

You will also be expected to help, guide and teach by example, our junior sales and apprentices. Each sales consultant will be working as a team with a sales apprentice in order to help them with their development in the role and company.

Skills Required

• You must have achieved at least 5 subjects in GCSE Grades A to C with at least Grade 5 or “C” at GCSE Maths and English
• Excellent telephone manner and confident personality
• Good written and verbal communications skills
• Experienced skier or snowboarder able to understand what a client needs on a ski holiday and advise on solutions (preferred requirement)
• Understanding of the importance of excellent customer service and providing what the customer wants in an efficient manner
• Preferably some sales experience either telephone or direct sales, but this is not necessary as if you have a bubbly personality, we can teach you the rest!
• Good computer skills – good keyboard skills, familiarity with Microsoft Office (mainly Outlook and Word) including the ability to format documents and emails, comfortable with the use of the internet
• To be able to work in a team to achieve sales targets
• Flexibility is required with working hours as you will be expected to work on a shift system during the winter. You will work a mixture of late and early shifts - weekends and bank holidays are shared between the team on a monthly rota
