THE ROLE: Experienced Service Manager with full responsibility for the safe, effective and profitable management of the Service Department
Duties & responsibilities:
* Management of Service Department Territory
* Preparation, ownership and management of departmental budget and financial objectives
* Management of and compliance with Health & Safety and all relevant Company policies
* Continuous Professional Development of Service and Service Administration team
* Departmental Performance Reviews
* Weekly monitoring and control of work in progress
* Management of Service Department marketing programmes
* Departmental recruitment
* Warranty administration, supported by departmental administration team, with a strong emphasis on warranty cost recovery
* Customer service KPIs via promotion of strong customer service culture throughout Service Department
* Management of customer account database
* Departmental service administration and reporting
* Liaison with Departmental customers and suppliers across all service and technical matters, including Customer Relationship Management
Essential Skills/Experience:
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively manage customer expectations, and communicate at all levels within the business
* Strong organisational skills and a demonstrable ability to multitask
* A well-developed ability to lead a skilled team consisting of service technicians and administrators
* Experience in using a manufacturer’s warranty and service system
* Commercial awareness with the ability to sell the Service Department to new and existing customers
* Strong technical knowledge of engine, transmission and electro-hydraulic systems, preferably agricultural, including plug-in diagnostic equipment
* Experience with Ibcos - Preferred
* Living in or prepared to relocate to Kent
* Full UK driving licence required – Essential
