Part-time, Casual Visitor Services Assistant

The Royal Engineers’ Museum tells the story of the Royal Engineers and how they have helped the British Army live, move and fight for over 300 years. Highlights include 25 Victoria Crosses, Wellington’s map of Waterloo, Zulu War weapons, amazing bridge-laying tanks, a section of the Berlin Wall, Harrier Jump Jet and an enormous V2 Rocket. With interactive exhibits, indoor and outdoor play areas, café and gift shop, there’s plenty for all the family.

We are now seeking an energetic and enthusiastic person with a passion for customer service to join the Visitor Services team and to welcoming visitors, help them learn a little of the fascinating history of the Royal Engineers, answer their questions and contribute to their enjoyment of visiting the Museum.

The varied role also includes serving in the Museum shop and café as well as assisting with family activities and special events.

Visits to the Museum peak at weekends and during school holidays so availability at these times is essential. The exact hours of work will vary from week to week, depending on bookings and the activities taking place, so flexibility is vital.
