Red Eagle Recruitment are looking to employ a Compliance Manager for our Fresh Produce Client.
Responsible for:Compliance Manager
General Description
Implementing, overseeing, amending and maintaining Company’s Document Control Manual / Policies / QA systems and Ethical processes ensuring they are efficient, compliant, safe, correct and up to date. Deputising and assisting for the Technical Manager on auditing and customer visits.
Reporting to:Head of OperationsDeputises for:Head of Operationseputy:Technical Manager
Have a good understanding of the Company’s policies, processes and functions in every department. Develop and review processes, procedures and policy relevant to the role
· Implement / amend / maintain and update Companies Quality Manual according to Latest BRC / TPPS / F2F / SEDEX and other relevant standards
· Carry out in depended internal Hygiene and Compliance Audits including Accommodation. Identify potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk. Complete Root Cause Analysis on Non-conformities raised and implement CA plans as and when required, ensure the corrective actions have been followed and provide guidance on how to avoid or deal with similar situations in future
· Monitor the performance of the Compliance Program and relate activities on a continuing basis, taking appropriate steps to improve its effectiveness
· Develop, initiate, maintain, and revise policies and procedures for the general operation of the Compliance Program and its related activities to prevent illegal, unethical, or improper conduct. Manage day-to-day operation of the Program. Ensure the latest versions on documents are issues and previous destroyed / archived as appropriate
· Oversee and maintain HACCP / Daily Check / Pest Control / Maintenance / Calibration / COSHH and Ethical folders and contractors
· Manage Hygiene team / oversee Cleaning Equipment / Cleaning Schedules / Chemical and equipment stock and Risk Assessments / Suggest and implement improvements to promote high standards of hygiene
· Collaborates with other departments (e.g., Risk Management, Production, Packaging, Maintenance, Quality and Employee Services, HR Department etc.) to direct compliance issues to appropriate existing channels for investigation and resolution. Consult with the Marketing Desk Technical / Compliance and Ethical department
· Provide feedback to Managers within the department and develop mechanisms for ensuring ongoing compliance with guidance and procedures, on trends or issues for inclusion in training programme
· Lead the HACCP Team
· Lead the Health & Safety Committee
· BRC and Tesco TPPS Audit cover in Technical Manager absence, assist and conduct audits with 3rd party auditors including Accommodation
· Lead on Ethical, environmental and Heath & Safety audits
· Management and delivery of all ethical activities as required by the business and our customers
· Management of corrective actions / proactively thinking ahead
· Undertake any other tasks reasonably requested by the Head of Operations
· Lead the business on environmental compliance
· Strong desire to stay up to date with all changes involving ethical, environmental and compliance.
· Ability to make changes as appropriate to ensure the business is a champion of ethical, compliance and environmental auditing standards.
