Proxar Ltd is a well-established, successful & expanding IT Support and Consulting Company with a Headquarters in Sevenoaks Kent.
The 1st/2nd line Support Engineer will be responsible for general administration of servers, PCs, printers & networks. The role is centred on the support & maintenance of hardware and software located on customer’s sites in Kent and London. Candidates must have recent experience in IT, a full UK driving license & ideally live locally to Sevenoaks.

Tasks and responsibilities:
• Being 1st point of contact for Customers, understanding and recording of IT issues;
• Adding, Removing and modifying users and groups in Active Directory;
• Troubleshooting and maintenance of desktops, laptops and printers using remote software, over the phone and on site;
• Building, configuring and upgrading desktops and laptops;
• Configuration of iOS, Android and Windows phones;
• Keeping an accurate log of all technical faults in ticketing system;
• Liaise with external suppliers for warranty repairs;
• Carry out routine network maintenance tasks;
• Managing email, anti-spam and virus protection;
• collaborating with other departments & businesses;
• Maintaining records of assets and licences.
Key skills:
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office products;
• Knowledge of Operating Systems: Microsoft Windows 7-10, Microsoft Server 2012-16;
• Practical knowledge and experience in troubleshooting strategies;
• Organisational skills;
• Strong Communication skills;
• A meticulous & analytical nature;
• Capable of working well under pressure.
The successful candidate:
• Will have experience of providing IT Support and exceptionally strong customer service;
• Will have broad computer systems knowledge within a business environment;
• Will be flexible and demonstrate a desire to learn and develop;
