We are currently recruiting for a dynamic financial services organisation that are seeking to recruit an experienced Senior Business Process Officer to join their Operations team.
The role will require you to responsible for providing support services to Business functions to ensure "non-core" annual special operational events and business change activity is conducted to an agreed plan and timeline ensuring key transactional activity is carried out effectively with all key stakeholders engaged in the process delivery. Examples of non-core activity annual statement production, regulatory ops reporting amendments, rate change management and co-ordination of core system data. The role will also require ongoing analysis of key Operations reporting tools to identify areas of process and system change to improve performance efficiency and improved customer service for processes.
Duties will include:
* Coordinate business operational activity effectively
* Coordinating and executing defined business operations annual activity within the Change of Process Specialists function - defined as annual statement mailings, HMRC returns, annual general meeting mailings, global rate change events, Fee and Tariff reviews and other agreed annual events defined within the function
* Ensure that business and customer outcomes are met, making sure that regulatory deadlines are met, and output meets required quality levels
* Ensure requirements to meet activities are assessed to identify where changes are required, and prioritise in line with the business change model
* Be able to perform data analysis, reconcile data to support with the delivery of business events activity
* Ensuring documented procedures, roles and responsibility are reviewed and kept up to date and controlled
* Work in collaboration with business stakeholders
* Be risk aware, ensuring, risk, issues, assumptions and decisions are managed and reported
* Ensure that all enquiries are dealt with promptly and in line with SLAs
* Providing visibility to the business on the pipeline of activity, their status updates and delivery dates, performance against plan is tracked and controlled and reported at regular intervals
* Contribute to operationally impact assessments, in support of change activity
* Work as a liaison with the operational and business functions to plan business readiness criteria with stakeholders ahead of the implementation of business activities, ensuring all impacted departments are in a state of readiness prior to go live
* Providing regular status reports for activity
* Contribute to team capacity planning and understand capacity of business stakeholders in support of delivery of activities. Resource conflicts managed with stakeholders and escalated appropriately
* Investigating problematic casework to size potential issues ensuring all risks and issues have been assessed, are appropriately documented, required corrective action and resolution is agreed to prevent re-occurrence - where any change to process is required this is formally captured and documented
* Engagement with the Operations Training team to documentation and reviewing training material relating to servicing processing changes
* Support business change and input into process reviews and requirements gathering sessions for change requests
Skills and experience required:
* Previous experience in process re-engineering and project management is essential
* Experience working within a Financial Services industry is highly desirable
* Working knowledge of the Data Protection Act, Anti-Money Laundering and TCF is essential
* Advanced level skills in Microsoft Word and Excel, VISIO, PowerPoint, MS Project are essential
* An advanced level of skill of data reconciliation process and principles is essential
* Knowledge of working within a change frame work is essential
* Prince 2 practitioner & Six Sigma green belt or above is desirable
* Must have outstanding internal and external (verbal and written) communications skills
