Salary: £10.00 per hour + benefits
Benefits: Full platinum club membership
Duration: Full Time, Permanent
Hours: 4days on & 4days off; 8-day rota. 6.30am to 6.30pm (11 hours per day with one hour for lunch)
Holiday: Equivalent to 28 days’ annual leave

About us:
Avenue Tennis offer the only indoor and outdoor tennis facility of its kind in the region which is constructed to full LTA competition standards throughout, providing both experienced and new players access to world class tennis facilities in Medway. Other services include badminton; a full Technogym Wellness Gym facility; Health Suite; Restaurant (open to the public) and Café/Bar.

About the role:
You will provide a year-round general maintenance (reactive and proactive) service to ensure all Avenue Tennis facilities are safe, fully operative and presented correctly. You will form part of a small team ensuring Avenue Tennis remains the premium facility for our guests and members alike.

Key responsibilities:
- To provide general maintenance services to the entire facility completing small repairs as required to ensure we are operating effectively.
- Liaise with our numerous subcontractors whilst they are on site to ensure they are working as required and to our standards.
- Complete proactive maintenance on our numerous systems and machinery on a preventative basis and reporting any defects to the general manager.
- Provide support to the other team members and assisting with the smooth running of the club where practical

About you:
You will have a good knowledge and experience of mechanical equipment and a practical mindset towards engineering and fault finding, a high degree of common sense and a willingness to adapt to the differing role demands on a day to day basis.

No specific qualifications are required if the relevant experience and competency is evident and your general skills and ability to complete basic repairs and maintenance is strong.

Any specific disciplines in the following sectors would however be an advantage; electrical, mechanical, plumbing and/or air conditioning.

You will have excellent organisational skills; a good work ethos; a “can do” attitude.

Flexibility is a requirement with regards to working on weekends and before and after core hours, as business needs necessitate.
