Assistant Manager - RURAL GASTRO PUB
Are you enthusiastic, passionate, hospitable and have bags of common sense? Are you looking to follow a career in hospitality?
This award winning gastro pub is run by a talented Chef Proprietor where they source as much as they can from local suppliers and only the freshest, seasonal produce is used to create their modern British Cuisine. They have sixty covers inside their traditional and comfortable country interior and plenty of gardens and grounds where a further sixty people can enjoy hospitality in the warmer months. In addition new bed and breakfast accommodation is in the process of being built.
They have a marvellous selection of Kent's smaller craft brewers and great local cider and wines. Having now been established for over four years the business has gone from strength to strength, winning awards along the way, and they are now looking for a supervisor or Assistant Manager to strengthen the management team and move the business forward.
The ideal candidate will have had some previous experience in a restaurant or gastro pub, and have the energy and enthusiasm to take the next step up. You will require a passion for good food and drink and the desire for high customer satisfaction. An outgoing personality and the desire to help others succeed is a real bonus to lead the team forward.
You will be offered every support in developing your career and can even choose to have a personal mentor and take NVQ qualifications. if you are ambitious to drive your career forward, this is an ideal place to start. If you are not yet fully cellar trained, this is an opportunity for you to learn how to take the best care of the great British brew.
This pub operates Tuesday to Friday and is closed on all day Monday and Sunday evening. They have developed a flexible rota in the scheme which does enable the occasional day off on the weekend.
Due to the rural location of this Inn you will require your own transport.
The salary offered is up to £23,000 depending on experience plus share of tips (over £3,000 per annum)
