The role of the CNC Router Operator is to programme and cut components to produce parts and items from MDF, Plywood, Acrylic and other materials, lifting materials is involved. You will be working in a busy workshop on a variety of interesting projects, whilst maintaining stock levels, working to deadlines and ensuring the smooth running of the CNC.
The ability to multi-task and assist in other areas of the workshop will be needed from time to time so will suit a candidate who is comfortable working with their hands. Basic carpentry skills would be an advantage during busy periods. Our current CNC machine is an AXYZ 6010 running ArtCam software.
You will display the following skills:
• Good communications skills.
• Teamwork.
• Ability to work to a deadline.
• Ability to work well with little supervision.
• Willing to work overtime.
• Problem Solving
• Drivers licence preferable
• Forklift licence an advantage
• Busy workshop with varied work, ability to multitask
Position requires:
• Ability to work across weekends and after hours (O/T)
• Reliability essential
