A prestigious South East Kent school has a newly-created role for a Chief Financial Officer. The role will require the individual to have experience in setting-up a finance function from scratch and managing the end-to-end process. Due to the urgent nature of the position it is a temporary role with a high probability for the right individual that it could turn permanent.

Key responsibilities: 

- Propose, design and implement business plans.
- Oversee implementation of new systems.
- Lead and manage the day-to-day functions of the finance team.
- Construct Budgets and forecasts.
- Undertake ad-hoc work at a variety of levels.

We are looking for:

- A qualified accountant ACA, ACCA or CIMA.
- Ideally the successful candidate will have a background in education.
- Someone who can demonstrate the ability to be flexible and adaptable to a varying workload.
- Strong systems experience is essential including intermediate/advanced excel skills (VLookups and Pivot Tables as a minimum).

To be considered for this role you must be immediately available or coming to the end of an assignment and/or notice period. As stated the role is initially temporary with a view to start July/August and for the right candidate the option to go permanent.
