The Role

The business is growing globally (with offices in England, Ireland, Hong Kong and the USA) and we are adding staff to the offices regularly. You’ll be assisting with the recruitment process, helping to write and post adverts (like this one!), scheduling interviews and keeping candidates updated on their application status. As you develop in the role you will be sorting CVs and carrying out Skype interviews with candidates too.

If you’re looking to get your foot in the door of a business career, this is the role for you. You’ll be directly involved in helping to meet business goals, by helping add to the team that enables the growth and success we’ve experienced so far. You’ll learn about how the HR and Recruitment function of a company runs, and learn about how to recruit, engage and retain staff. You’ll spend one day a week on the Maidstone Midkent campus and gain a L3 qualification in Human Resources, as well as functional skills qualifications in English, Maths and ICT.

Our Apprenticeship Scheme

Our apprenticeship scheme has been in place for 7 years now, and 83% of our apprentices still work here. Our scheme was also a finalist in the Apprenticeship of the Year category at the KEiBA awards. Our priority is to enable our apprentices to establish their career in an area they enjoy. Former apprentices have flown to New York and re-designed our entire website, to name just two achievements. Most of our former apprentices are now studying higher qualifications, so the learning doesn't end after your first year. What we are trying to say, is there is a wealth of opportunity to succeed and progress with us for years to come.

Location

You will work from our head offices in Borden, a small village south-west of Sittingbourne in Kent. We are near the M2, and based suitably far away from the Sittingbourne rush hour traffic (making your commute easier). We’re also a 20-minute bike ride from Sittingbourne train station if you like to cycle (don’t worry, there is a shower too, so you can feel fresh before you start the day). Snacks, fruit, drinks and various staples are provided in our kitchen. There is an oven and grill if you like cooking fresh lunches, and sometimes staff cook meals for the entire office. In the summer we like to host BBQs too.
