LGV Cat C Class 2 Driver - Woolwich

The Best Connection Group Ltd. is advertising this position on behalf of our client and is acting as a recruitment business. We are a specialist supplier of temporary and permanent labour to the industrial and driving sectors.

We are currently seeking 2x LGV Cat C Class 2 Drivers to fill a position in Woolwich. The successful candidate will possess a current and valid Cat C Licence and must have Class 2 driving experience.

On the job you will be tasked with the delivery of water bottles to businesses within the south east area. These can be large with most weighing around 20kg. Because of this some level of physical fitness will be required. Communicating with customers and dealing with orders will also mean you will need a good level of customer service.

There is also the opportunity for on the job training for more specialised roles within the company.

Hours of Work

Monday to Friday
6am starts with a scheduled finish around 4pm
Some over time may be required.

Both positions will be starting on a temporary basis with the intention to take on the right candidates full time after a successful trial period with the company. This is an excellent opportunity to to get your foot in the door of a rapidly expanding company with a great working atmosphere.

Responsibilities of the LGV C Class 2 Driver

Operate a Cat C Class 2 vehicle to local areas, making deliveries, product pick up, etc.

Perform complete pre- and post-operation inspection of the vehicle in accordance with Company policy to ensure tyre pressure, fluid levels, safety equipment, gauges, and controls are in proper working order. Report any safety issues on standard reports.
Adhering to assigned delivery schedule and following all job directives precisely Interact with dispatchers and others on a daily basis to ensure all task are carried out in a timely and professional manner and prepare to return home.
Deliver a high level of customer service to all customers.

Maintain adherence to required productivity standards for the department to ensure all customers are serviced in a timely and efficient manner.
Follow all required safety policies and procedures.

Requirements of the LGV C Class 2 Driver

LGV Cat C Class 2 Driving Licence
Valid CPC
Digital Tachograph Card
Verifiable references

Rates of Pay

The starting salary for this position is up to £10.50 per hour, This rate is set to increase after an initial trial period with the company.

*Holiday pay based on weekly accrual.
