Qualified Bookkeeper required in Kings Hill
Position
To undertake all aspects of our bookkeeping and payroll. This position will suit someone with extensive bookkeeping skills, able to work autonomously, confident in setting up systems and liaising with the Company’s stakeholders.
Ideally, we would require a monthly visit to our offices in Kings Hill, Kent.
Purpose of the Position
• Data entry to make and maintain accurate accounts and payroll records, to provide accurate monthly Management Accounts for the Company on a timely basis.
• Assist managers by providing sound financial support, analysis and reporting, as required.
• Keep abreast of any changes in legislation, tax regulations and Limited Company Law impacting on areas of financial control and ensure the company remains compliant in all respects.
• Ensure up to date knowledge of all bookkeeping, payroll and pension processing functions and systems.
• Committed to making the company successful and always act in the best interest of the company.
Day to Day Operations
Downloading financial information from various online sources such as Amazon, Kindle. Organise paperwork such as sales invoices, purchase invoices, bank statements. Record all transactions into accounts software. Prepare and present monthly Management Accounts (P&L and Balance Sheet). Quarterly Vat Return and EU Vat Return. Monthly payroll & pension processing.
Manage the relationship with the Company’s external Accountant. Manage the prompt completion of year-end processes to facilitate timely production of the annual accounts
Qualifications & Experience
• AAT Level 4 in accounts and payroll (or equivalent, or equivalent qualified-by-experience).
• Proficient and experienced in Sage 50 Accounts, Sage 50 Payroll, Excel, Internet.
• Thorough knowledge of accounting and accounting principles and procedures, including the creation of Financial Statements, production of Management Accounts. Vat Returns (UK & EU MOSS), Purchase Ledger, Payroll & Pension Administration.

Rigorous attention to good accounting practice and details
Good level of financial and Company legislation
Sound IT skills and knowledge, including a high level of spreadsheet competence
Enthusiastic, positive and proactive attitude to work
Good written and verbal communication skills
