Do you have a passion for student recruitment? Do you have a strong understanding of the higher education sector with a proven track record of developing and driving forward a student recruitment and marketing strategy?

We are seeking to recruit an ambitious, self-motivated and enthusiastic professional who is seeking to develop their career in one of UK’s leading Universities.

Working alongside the Head of School, School Administration Manger and in liaison with colleagues in Enrolment Management Services you will also be responsible for managing the admissions functions of the School, for strengthening student recruitment and for developing alumni engagement.

As a Recruitment, Admissions & Marketing Manager you will:

• In conjunction with Enrolment Management Services, manage the School’s front facing profile on events such as Open Days and Applicant Days so that the School is effectively represented.
• Manage the School’s digital marketing ensuring the School works collaboratively with the University’s Recruitment & Marketing Unit and Publishing Office
• Provide line management and supervision for direct reports
• Oversee the management of all School publications and communications ensuring accuracy and compliance with the guidance provided by the Publishing Office and Corporate Communications.
• Develop strategies to increase the effectiveness of, and attendance at, events and activities designed to raise the external profile of the School.
• Fulfil strategic and managerial responsibilities for Recruitment Admissions and Outreach activities.

To succeed in this role you will have:

• GCSE or equivalent at Grade C or above in English and Maths and educated to degree level or equivalent
• Experience of student recruitment and marketing within higher education context
• Experience and knowledge of using Dreamweaver and capability in website design and maintenance
• Experience of dealing with contacts from outside the University context
• Excellent customer service skills and the ability to create an excellent impression of the University and the School.
• The ability to work flexibly, on evenings and weekends when required

The School of Arts offers teaching programmes in the areas of Drama & Theatre, Film, History of Art and Media Studies. It is home to over 800 students, 41 academic staff, and 23 administrative and technical staff. The School is housed on the Canterbury campus in the award-winning Jarman building, which provides a striking working environment and excellent facilities for staff and students including a 144sqm white cube gallery, film production facilities and fully-equipped drama studios.
