Do you have retail experience and are you looking for a new challenge?
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced individual to manage our charity shop in Canterbury on a temporary basis to cover maternity leave for a period of up to 12 months. With responsibility for recruiting and managing a team of shop volunteers and staff, you will be able to get the most out of your people.
Our Demelza charity shop in Canterbury is unique in having a bridal and occasion wear department. We are looking for someone who is able to work closely with our bridal customers finding the perfect dress for their special day.
You will be motivated and have experience in achieving or exceeding sales targets.
Good communication and people skills are essential and you will enjoy making links with the local community, collaborating with local town events and community activities to help maximise stock, income and volunteer potential.
You will show excellent stock management and help to source and merchandise the correct stock for the store to maximise sales. A methodical and organised approach is essential.
This role will require moving and handling and will also require flexible working across the 7 day trading week.
