Software Developers
Working with a growing Claims Management organisation, they are looking for Software Developers to join their software team which is recognised as integral to their business proposition. The role requires individuals with demonstrable C# development experience to take an active role in the design, development, maintenance and support of the core functionality and associated products for our in-house bespoke claims system.
Applicants must be able to demonstrate excellent development skills, and meet all the essential criteria.
Key Responsibilities:

The responsibilities of the Software Developer will include (but are not limited to):
• To provide input in to the design of the system and processes to enhance business performance
• To actively participate as part of the team in the development, testing, deployment and support of the in-house claims system, in line with established and emerging coding and security guidelines
• To speedily rectify software defects as and when identified
• To work to deliver working, shippable software that achieves sprint goals within defined timeboxes, to a high standard, and to assist others in doing the same
• To participate in group sessions with the development team and business users
• To assist in the prioritisation and estimation of system enhancement requests and defects
• To work both independently and as part of the wider team
• To assist with mentoring of junior team members

Skills & Experience:

Candidates will have the following skills and experience:
Essential skills and experience
• C#, ASP.NET MVC 5, Visual Studio 2017
• RESTful Web Services / ASP.NET WebAPI
• SQL Server (T-SQL)
• HTML5/CSS3
• Javascript (JQuery and Vanilla JS)
• Source Control (TFS, SVN, GIT)
• Agile experience (SCRUM or DSDM)
• Technical troubleshooting
• Full project lifecycle
• Good organisational and problem solving skills
• Accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines

Additional skills and experience
• TFS/VSTS
• VisualFiles development and support
• Development of customer-facing web applications
• Mobile web/application development
• Insurance claims processing
• Analysis and technical design

Salary is upto £32,000
