Security Door Automation Engineer
Location: Kent & Essex
Salary: Circa £20ph DOE
Our client designs, installs and maintains high quality door solutions for prestigious commercial clients. They are growing in strength within their market share having secured significant national projects.
They are now looking for an experienced Door Automation Engineer to join their growing team.
The ideal candidate will have experience working on automated gates, with a good understanding of the health & safety procedures. Ideally you will be conversant in Dorma, Ingelsol Rand, Besam Abbloy and Record UK control systems.
You must also must be able to carry out and fully understand Door Risk Assessments, Force Tests and also recommended works to update Doors to be compliant with current legislation. The role will entail fault finding and fault diagnosis along with advising customers of potential machine faults and how these can be rectified.
REQUIREMENTS
• A full UK driving licence is a necessity. – This is a field based role and travel within the South East Region is expected.
• Experienced in Door Automation
• Proficient with the full installation process making sure that it complies with the latest health and safety requirements
• Excellent customer-facing skills and self-presentation are required
• Excellent English both written and verbal
• For security purposes, you must have a 10 year checkable work history. Subject to Police vetting
• The candidate must be able to demonstrate key Engineering skills not limited to:
• Mechanical and Electrical diagnostics.
• Responsibility for Van Stock / Replenishment and Stock Taking
• Competency in problem solving and an ability to make diligent recommendations
• Demonstration to Clients and End Users of completed systems or individual work(s). Working as a mobile service engineer you will be responsible for the installation, service, maintenance and PPM works on customer sites across the regions
