Financial Services Apprentice Coach

5 positions available anywhere South of Birmingham & London and surrounding areas

£25,000 – £35,000 Home Based

25 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays

Looking for full-time but would consider part-time or flexi working hours for the right candidate

Full induction will be provided

Our client, a leading specialist Financial Services Apprenticeship Training provider in the UK, is currently looking to recruit top quality Financial Services Coaches (especially within the insurance industry). This is a fast-growing company and they are looking to recruit 5 new coaches to join their team. They are a national provider and work with some of the largest financial organisations in the UK.

This is a key role to support and guide learners through every stage of their journey. These Coaches are at the cutting edge of their commitment to provide every learner with an outstanding experience and to help clients see a clear return on their investment. You will need a good understanding of financial services (especially insurance) and some L & D experience, or be a fully qualified apprenticeship coach/assessor that has a little financial background.

Main purpose of the job:

Responsibility for the development of a cohort of apprentices against quality & various KPIs
Provide support & guidance throughout the apprentice’s learner journey to ensure progression
against key milestones including qualifications & competencies as defined by the standard
Build a relationship with the apprentice’s line manager (& other employer staff as required) to
facilitate the apprentice’s development & time commitments & to review development & align with employer performance measures
Demonstrate & be an advocate of FWD’s apprentice coaching ‘best practice’
Key activities of the job holder:

Complete induction presentations & apprentice sign up administration
Run monthly meetings with Apprentices in the work place & remotely
Respond to the apprentice’s remote queries &/or support requirements as required
Measure & assess progress of the apprentice against the objectives & milestones of the
agreed learner journey
Complete all required documentation to evidence work completed in line with FWD quality
requirements, including tracking time spent off the job learning requirements
Interpret learning outcomes personally to the apprentice’s role & environment
Advise the apprentice how work based experience can relate to development against
learning outcomes
Set activities to develop the apprentice’s competence against the defined learning outcomes
Advise the apprentice on relevant evidence to support the creation of a portfolio of work in
line the end point assessment requirements
Support the apprentice in working towards their professional qualification
Escalate where concerns over apprentice progress or employer support, where cannot
personally resolve
Decide in discussion with the Delivery Director & apprentice’s line manager, when the
apprentice is ready for end point assessment
Support & coach the apprentice in preparation for end point assessment
Attend coach’s development / standardisation meetings as required
Essential

Two years occupational experience in the Insurance sector
Significant experience in apprenticeship delivery.
Learner focused with a proven track record in supporting their achievement, retention and
motivation
A1 qualification
Functional Skills in Maths and English at a minimum of Level 2.
Good working knowledge of Apprenticeships and professional qualifications
Comfortable with using IT and e-portfolios
Full, clean UK driving licence
Commitment to own continuous professional development
