Our client currently has an exciting opportunity for a Senior .NET Developer to join their IT Team and grow their technical solutions as part of an initiative to continually improve and develop quality services.

Working as an integral part of a medium sized team, your main responsibilities will include:-

· Providing an Architectural Role overseeing their custom software
· Providing written technical specifications and documentation ensuring best practice
· Strong leadership in delivering quality, sustainable code
· Working and collaborating with all teams that use their software, building strong and effective relationships. This will require cross-functional working within different teams at different business levels
· Liaising with all Product Owners to assist in the prioritisation of features within the applications directly developed within the company
· Driving continuous delivery of quality components, ensuring a focus on Business Value
· Assisting in team planning effectively to deliver robust, modular and testable code and adhere to engineering procedures and code conventions
· Mentoring and leadership of other Software Engineers within the team
· Reviewing and analysing existing processes and practices carried out within the IT function with a view to making recommendations and improvements

The role would suit an individual looking to engineer quality code with some oversight on the Architecture of the solutions in place. Also, someone that is looking to develop and mentor a team of dedicated software engineers. The successful applicant should display:-

Key Requirements

· Strong experience in working with the .NET framework, particularly with ASP.NET Core, MVC, C#, Web API
· In-depth knowledge of the .NET Stack, SQL Server, MVC, ORM and database design
· Experience in working with Cloud technology, either Azure or AWS
· Through development you should possess system design and development knowledge, knowledge of Agile Manifesto principles and an ability to apply them pragmatically, follow a practice of TDD/BDD and strong confidence to drive this methodology throughout the Development Team and wider business
· Jira, Bitbucket, Team City and Octopus Deploy
· Strong software design and architecture skills
