Kingsdown Compressed Air Systems is recruiting an exciting position for an entry level Business Development Executive to join the team. We are seeking an enthusiastic and approachable individual to thrive within our fast-paced environment and grow alongside the business.

Kingsdown Compressed Air Systems operates within the mechanical engineering sector and is a regional market leader in its field. We have a diverse range of customers throughout a variety of industries such as automotive, engineering and manufacturing. We provide a product range of varying technical nature, predominately within compressed air but additionally include vacuum pumps and blowers, nitrogen generators and all associated pipework.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to enter, or with early experience in, the world of technical and consultative sales and to become a fundamental part of a family-run and growing business.

This role involves conducting site visits to assess technical requirements and produce detailed, formal quotations based on your findings in order to present the most suitable option to the customer. Whilst full and continuous technical sales training will be provided, as we prefer to recruit candidates with raw skills, you will need to have a technical awareness in order to understand the workings of compressed air systems.

You will be responsible for winning new service business, equipment and installation sales in the South East, with your own area to manage as your development progresses. You will be following up a mixture of warm leads and self-generated leads from cold calling. Monthly and quarterly KPIs will be established.

Kingsdown Compressed Air Systems sells a premium quality, German made product with an after-sales service to match. As such, high standards and conduct are paramount if you are to be successful in this role. You will be responsible for the full cycle of a job requiring the successful candidate will have excellent administration skills and attention to detail.

Experience of air compressors or pumps would be advantageous but not essential as full and on-going product training will be given. Any B2B, industrial sales experience with involvement of visiting sites and liaising with customers would also be beneficial.

Good Microsoft Office skills, general presentation, telephone manner, organisation and planning ability are also required for this role.

The reward package:

• Basic salary; negotiable – dependent on experience (£21,000 – £26,000)
