Forge House Care are currently looking for experienced Support Workers to join our friendly team. We provide accommodation and support services to people living with a disability. We specialise in learning disabilities, mental health, acquired brain injury and behaviour which challenges.

Our support staff provide person centred care and encourage our service users to live independently. The successful applicant will be working in a team to support our service users within 2 homes in the Gravesend area.

Your duties will include supporting service users in their daily routine and accessing the community. Activities may include shopping, social outings and walking.
The successful applicant will be required to support the service users with every aspect of their personal care needs, including washing, bathing etc. along with shopping and household duties.

This role requires previous experience working with service users with behaviour which challenges. All staff receive full training in physical intervention including de-escalation, break away techniques and conflict resolution. All mandatory training will be provided.

This is a permanent role working 12 hour shifts on a 2 days on/2 days off basis. This will include weekend work.

Due to daily activities, you will need to be a car driver with a full UK driving licence including business use insurance.

The successful applicant will be required to complete an enhanced DBS (police check), if not already held.
