Sports Centre Assistant

Working in the Ames Levett Sports Centre, Canterbury, which is a 6 lane cricket sports hall and also has a 5-a-side astro football pitch available for hire, the role is a physical role, where you are customer facing dealing with incoming customers, whether on the telephone or in person.

This will mostly involve working evenings and weekends up to 15 hours per week, dependent on bookings. To be successful you must be available to work from 4.15pm on a weekday and various times at the weekend.

Duties will include:
• welcoming visitors into the sports centre and building good relationships with our clients
• taking money for bookings and till operation
• answering the telephone.
• keeping all areas clean and tidy
• preparing the sports hall for each activity
• locking up the premises at the end of the day.

We are looking for someone who is honest, trustworthy, helpful and flexible in attitude to cater for the various requirements of the position. You must be able to use your initiative as there may be times you will be lone working, we would want you to seek opportunities and aid the smooth running of the centre. Good people skills are essential to enhance our customer service.
