Jayar Carparts are looking for an experienced full time Bookkeeper to work in our Head Office in Aylesford, Kent.
The company is a family run business, established for over 40 years, selling and distributing automotive components across the South East.
Joining an existing team of 8 in the purchase and nominal ledger department, your role would be to assist the team with reconciliation and processing issues so that payment deadlines are met, and to assist with completion of the management accounts.
Responsibilities:
Assist with supplier accounts, and reconciliations.
Posting of month end journals.
Help with raising and posting of sales and purchase invoices for Jayar associate companies.
Resolve supplier queries.
Investigate supplier returns for credits.
Preparation of VAT returns.
Assist Accounts Manager with preparation of monthly management accounts to deadline.
Stock valuation.
Other adhoc duties as they arise to help with the smooth running of the department.
Essential skills:
Bookkeeping experience
Accurate with figures and a good eye for detail
Computer literate
Good communication skills
(Sage Line 50 experience would be advantageous but not essential)
