Are you ready to make the first step of your IT career, at the fastest growing IT company in Kent? Of course you are.

You’ll join the first line team, who are responsible for the remote support of our clients. You’ll get a buddy and shadow theirrole while training to get on the phones and resolve issues yourself. You’ll also visit sites in London on occasion, and you’ll get stuck in with office moves and projects as they come up. By the end of your apprenticeship, you’ll be a capable, fully fledged first line engineer.

You will spend four days a month at college, where you will study towards a Level 3 qualification as an application specialist. If you don't already have them, you will gain functional skills qualifications in maths, English and IT, too. While in our offices you will gain exposure to Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft servers, and VMware. You will learn how to configure & maintain switches, routers, VLANs, firewalls, SANs, servers and PCs, too.

Our apprenticeship scheme has been in place for 7 years now, and 83% of our apprentices still work here. Our scheme was also a finalist in the Apprenticeship of the Year category at the KEiBA awards. Our priority is to enable our apprentices to establish their career in an area they enjoy. Former apprentices have flown to New York and re-designed our entire website, to name just two achievements. Most our former apprentices are now studying higher qualifications, so the learning doesn't end after your first year. What we are trying to say, is there is a wealth of opportunity to succeed and progress with us for years to come.

You will work from our head offices in Borden, a small village south-west of Sittingbourne in Kent. We are near the M2, and based suitably far away from the Sittingbourne rush hour traffic (making your commute easier). We’re also a 20-minute bike ride from Sittingbourne train station if you like to cycle (don’t worry, there is a shower too, so you can feel fresh before you start the day). Snacks, fruit, drinks and various staples are provided in our kitchen. There is an oven and grill if you like cooking fresh lunches, and sometimes staff cook meals for the entire office. In the summer we like to host BBQs too.

To qualify we would like to see an A Level or Level 3 qualification in IT, but what’s more important is your enthusiasm and commitment to learning. We would love to hear what sparked your interest in IT in your cover letter.
