Job Summary
Under the supervision of the CAD Engineer, the Junior 3D CAD Technician will get to perform a variety of design/drafting activities group including preparing/updating installation drawings for projects, preparing assembly/manufacturing drawings, within the CAD department. Other duties to be performed as assigned.

Experience is not essential as some training will be provided, however the candidate will be expected to demonstrate some creative flair along with good numeracy and computer skills.


Duties and Responsibilities
With the guidance of the CAD Engineer the candidate will be expected to:

• Prepare dimensional drawings, installation drawings and progressing onto more complex drawings.

• Revise and update existing drawings reflecting design changes, to ensure consistent documentation of the project.

• Review plans, specifications and other customer documentation if service is requested by the CAD Engineer or Project Manager.

• Revise and update drawings manufacturing / assembly to ensure consistent documentation of the project.

• Work with the Projects Team on guidelines for installation drawings which meet and exceed the customer’s requirements. Implement these requirements on drawings sent to the customer.

• Maintain notes, design calculations and other documentation (like drawings, bill of materials, list of design parameters, and /performance guarantees) for future reference.

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of third party items and services data base. Review and modify information with supervision by the CAD Engineer. Make data available to Project Managers.

• Establish filing guidelines for drawings to maintain up-to-date drawings

• Other duties as required relating to CAD database maintenance, PDM, etc.


Specialized Knowledge and Abilities
• Excellent communications skills: interpersonal, listening, oral, and written.

• Skilled in PC usage and associated software including Microsoft Office.


Physical Demands
• The Junior 3D CAD Technician must be able to concentrate for extended periods of time whilst paying close attention to detail.


Work Environment
• This position is an office environment located just outside Maidstone. There may be occasional field trips to customer wastewater treatment sites required in this job.
