Counter Fraud Investigation Team Leader

Location: Whitstable

Hours: Mon-Fri 9am-5pm

Salary: £30,000-£40,000

Overview:

My client is an innovative and entrepreneurial group of companies specialising in Motor Insurance Services. They are currently rated highly in the top 30 big companies to work for in the UK and currently have the Platinum Award for investing in people

Role Purpose

Due to the continued success and expansion of this large insurance group, they are now looking to recruit a Counter Fraud Team Leader to join their dynamic and forward-thinking teams.



The key purpose of this role is to manage a team of Investigators and Analysts and contribute to the Counter Fraud department Operations business plan.



Key Responsibilities

* Contribute to and ensure direct reports work within agreed processes to deliver the business plan
* Measure direct reports performance against KPI's and SLA's.
* Provide support to the Supervisor/Manager and ensure delivery of performance of direct reports in line with departmental requirements.
* Provide support to the Supervisor/Manager in identifying inefficiencies with processes and procedures and implement changes to achieve improvement
* Manage, motivate, deliver, set & monitor objectives of direct reports within the Counter Fraud Team in order for them to carry out their responsibilities and meet agreed service and performance target.
* Undertake regular performance reviews with team members against key targets and objectives in order to identify business and personal developmental needs
* Ensure compliance to company reserving and payment philosophy.
* Authorise cheques in an accurate and timely manner, maintaining volume and cheque return data.
* Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers and Third-Party agents, to include the interpretation of MI, and identifying/resolving issues not requiring escalation.
* Handle complaints in line with FSA/Company guidelines and timescales.
* Complete audits on team members and put development plans in place to address training needs
* Develop team's technical knowledge

* To adhere to Company processes with regard to FCA compliance and Treating Customers Fairly;



Personal Specification

Essential Skills:

* 3+ years' experience working as a Team Leader.
* Demonstrates excellent communication and organisational skills
* Demonstrates good leadership skills
* Strong customer service and resolution skills
* Ability to mentor and train
* Demonstrates a full understanding and ability to implement delivery of department KPI's and SLA's
* Exposure to fraud.

Desirable Skills:

Knowledge of motor claims is a bonus.
