Reporting to the Services Director you will be responsible for managing, designing, delivering and producing various print and digital projects along with some day-to-day administrative tasks.

You will work with various departments within the organisation to aid the production of print and digital media. The role is varied and candidates with different sets of skills will be considered.

The position is ideally suited to a recent graduate, although a degree is not essential.

Required Skills
You must:
• be competent in using Adobe InDesign
• have a good understanding of design, layout and colour and be able to think creatively
• be able to work independently and manage your own workload
• be able to communicate using clear and accurate English whilst picking up your own errors
• be able to think for yourself and suggest creative solutions to problems

Desired Skills
You may:
• be competent in using the following packages: Dreamweaver, Photoshop & Illustrator
• have an understanding of HTML and CSS
• have experience maintaining a Wordpress site
• have experience with MySQL databases and PHP
• have an interest in photography/video production
• have experience in using an email marketing platform, such as Mailchimp

Specific Duties and Responsibilities
You will develop the company’s suite of courses. This may involve the re-designing of existing materials or the creation of new ones using an appropriate software package.

You will:
• design materials and resources for newly developed courses.
• re-design existing materials in-line with the Academic Team’s development plan.
• work closely with the Academic Manager to design suitable materials.
• source appropriate images that are properly licensed and/or credited.
• commission artwork and liaise with external designers when necessary.
• arrange for materials to be externally printed as and when required.

Production of Promotion Materials
You will support the Sales Team by providing them with the materials that they need to sell courses. Materials must be in-line with the brand and fit into the existing suite of promotional materials.

You will:
• develop the range of printed materials and manage any planned development needs.
• respond to ad-hoc requests for materials such as flyers, leaflets and conference materials.
• co-ordinate postal and email campaigns in support of sales initiatives.
• produce or commission illustrations, photographs and video content for marketing campaigns and library stock

Digital Media
Research, develop and implement brand-led marketing & communication tools to drive new sales and business opportunities to achieve sales targets.

You will be responsible for:
• running new social media campaigns and reporting on their effectiveness.
• developing and managing the company’s web presence and continuing to build the brand.
• develop EiA’s web, digital and print media portfolio and manage the annual development, production and distribution cycle.

Strategy
Working with the directors and external agencies – contribute to the development of brand-led marketing and communications strategies to accelerate the growth of the English in Action business and take on the role of EiA’s brand manager.

General Duties
• Coordination of external print production and negotiation with suppliers
• Limited provision of day-to-day IT support

Design Support for Other Departments
Create internal documents for departments as and when required, these may include:
• PDF forms
• Document templates
• Training materials
