A unique opportunity has arisen for a part time (32.5 hours), permanent Facilities Officer to join our small and multi-disciplinary Property Services team, ensuring the daily running of Swale House. The hours of work will be from 7am to 2pm and 1pm to 8pm Monday – Friday, alternate weeks. There will be the need to provide holiday and sickness cover for the other two Facilities Officers.
The successful candidate will be responsible for all duties associated with the running of Swale House including opening & closing the building, managing security, post, deliveries and supervising contractors.
There will be a need to carry out certain routine maintenance tasks off site at our other buildings, so the ability to travel to other sites around the Borough is required.

The candidate should have a good understanding of health & safety in relation to buildings and knowledge of fire and security procedures. You must be able to work flexible hours (and travel to other premises) including nights, early mornings and pre-arranged weekends.
The Council considers that all roles should be able to communicate clearly and concisely.
This is a part time position on a permanent contract.
Swale Borough Council is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and vulnerable adults, and expects all employee and volunteers to share this commitment
