The Ferry House Inn is a country pub and events venue on the Isle of Sheppey.

Location
It will be necessary that you have a car, as we are not accessible by public transport. We are approximately 30 minutes from the M2/A249 junction at Stockbury.

Shifts available include:
Some Monday to Fridays 6pm - 10.30/11pm (On Event days finish time will be approx midnight, and if possible it would preferable that you start at 4pm)
Saturdays 6pm til 1am

The Kitchen Porter is ultimately responsible for keeping the kitchen clean and tidy, and keeping the chefs stocked up with clean equipment as necessary. You must work quickly and carefully to avoid breakages, and be efficient and through at cleaning the kitchen down after service.​
A good KP is a vitally important role in a busy, well kept kitchen. This role is often the first step in a chefs career, or is equally suited to candidates wanting an evening job around family commitments.

The Glass Collector is responsible for keeping front of house areas free from empty glasses and washing up glasses and cups and restocking the shelves. Working front of house requires a uniform for this part of the role.

Own vehicle necessary - strictly NO candidates reliant on lifts due to the varying finish time (i.e. You finish the day when your work is complete)
Experience not necessary. No live in accommodation currently available.
Extra hours available during busy periods or for sick/holiday cover.
Immediate start available.

Packages for Kitchen porter roles:
Salaries based on experience, £5.60 - £8 per hour.
Shared tips.
Staff discount up to 20% on Food, Drink and Accommodation.
Meals provided for shifts in excess of 6 hours.

Standard Contracts are for agreed minimum weekly hours. Employees can take extra shifts if desired when available.
Shift rota's published online minimum 6 weeks in advance.
28 days a year holiday for full time, pro rata for part time.
