You may have a formal accountancy (AAT), or bookkeeping (AICB) qualification, or be qualified by experience, but you must have a sound understanding of client bookkeeping, preferably gained within a practice of chartered accountants. This is a busy office, and there will be plenty of face-to-face and phone interaction with clients.

With the introduction of MTD in the coming years, the demand for quality bookkeeping services is likely to increase and your role as Bookkeeper in the office will be an important point of contact and driver of business levels. The firm is highly professional and benefits from an excellent and varied client base.

Your technical bookkeeping ability will include taking accounts to trial balance stage, reconciliations and completing VAT returns. Working knowledge of cloud accounting software such as Xero, Kashflow, QuickBooks and Sage One is required. To be considered for this excellent opportunity, you will need to have previous bookkeeping experience, preferably within a practice of chartered accountants. It is likely that you will also have completed the AAT qualification to Level 4.

Your starting salary will be dependent on your level of experience/ qualification. Ideally a full-time role, there may be scope for flexible hours.
