Connect2Staff are excited to be working with a large established charity, who are looking for a support worker to assist a teen service user who is taking part in a 4 week programme for year 11s, to prepare them for their steps in life.
The contract includes 2 five-day long, all expenses paid residential trips, one to an outward bound activity centre in Dorset and one to a university campus in Canterbury, plus 2 five-day long non-residential workshop based activities in West Kent.
The dates you need to be available from are:
* Monday 16th July - Friday 20th July (residential)
* Monday 23rd July - Friday 27th July (residential)
* Monday 30th July - Friday 3rd August (non-residential)
* Monday 6th August - Friday 10th August (non-residential)
You will not be working at the weekends.
The role requires the support worker to provide personal care to the service user, assist him with activities that he will be undertaking and anything else he might require.
The successful candidate will:
* Have experience of working in a similar care environment, i.e. 1:1 care and for someone with physical disabilities
* Ideally have NVQs or equivalent in care
* Be able to commit to at least 2 of the above date ranges, ideally all of the dates
* Be happy to undertake paid induction and training the week before the first date
Our client can offer:
* Excellent pay rate of £10.66 per hour for the duration of the contact
* All expenses paid for including travel, accommodation and food (travel to the meeting sites is not covered)
