Based at The Fresh Produce Centre at Paddock Wood in Kent, FreshPLUS takes a different approach to service provision. Specialising in fresh produce, our customers have the freedom to choose from a flexible menu of direct or indirect services; from full receipt, storage, ripening, packing and distribution of products to indirect options such as grower audits at source, customs clearance services or marketing insight reports.

Supporting the Commercial Manager in all aspects of our service provision business, you’ll be responsible for growing and maintaining an ongoing sales channel for new business opportunities.

Our ideal candidate would have a sound understanding of the service provision marketplace in order to develop sales growth with existing customers and to develop new business and service products. When new customers are secured, you will manage the process of on-boarding, coordinating the relevant stakeholders which will require you to have excellent organisational skills.

You’ll be required to develop a good knowledge of operational costs to ensure that external rates are competitively priced, whilst continuing to generate a profit margin.

It will be your responsibility to provide accurate forecast of volume and activity to support commercial planning in the operational areas. You will be involved in the annual budget process too.

This role presents a fantastic opportunity for the right candidate to make their first step into an account management role and develop within a commercial based career, whilst raising the profile of a growing business.

Our ideal Account Manager would be:

• Qualified to A level standard (or equivalent)
• From a sales or customer service background, preferably within the fresh produce or FMCG industry
• An excellent communicator with the ability to engage with customers and maintain relationships
• Aligned to our values, with the ability to achieve high levels of performance
• Customer driven, and capable of delivering high quality work under pressure
• An innovative, advocate for change
• Able to carry out detailed analysis and present recommendations to internal stakeholders
• Proficient in all MS office packages, particularly MS Excel and Powerpoint.
