Ground Maintenance Operative

Location: Gillingham/Chatham/Rochester/Strood

Hours Full Time - Monday to Friday - Ongoing work May to September - Weekend over time also available.

£8.25 per hour / Weekends £9.20 per hour

The Best Connection are currently looking to recruit a number of Ground Maintenance Operatives to join their clients team based in Medway.

Reporting to the Contract Manager, the Ground Maintenance Operative will carry out Ground Maintenance duties to achieve high standards of maintenance.

The Ground Maintenance Operative’s key duties will include:

The Ground Maintenance Operative will be required to ensure the sites external areas are maintained to satisfactory standards
To cut grassed areas
To Maintain shrub beds, including the reducing of plants and hedges within the site
The Ground Maintenance Operative will carry out work in a safe and diligent manner
To drive company vehicles
The Ground Maintenance Operative will provide management with relevant information/reporting as required
Reporting any site issues to the Contracts Manager
The Ground Maintenance Operative will be required to undertake training as and when required.

What we expect from our Ground Maintenance Operative:
Due to the nature of the works, the person must be physically fit and agile
The Ground Maintenance Operative will require some degree of flexibility.
UK Driving license (Essential) - Using Company Vans to move between sites and move equipment.
