We are looking for a Sales Ledger Clerk to join our finance team, who act as a shared service to the variety of companies that recognise the Fresh Produce Centre as their home.

Reporting to the Sales Ledger Team Leader, the purpose of this role is to collect any outstanding payments against our customer accounts, to ensure that we paid in an accurate and timely manner.

It’ll be your responsibility to set up any new customers that we sell products and service to, and to monitor credit ratings of those who already exist on our system, adjusting where relevant.

As you’ll be spending much of your time communicating with customers, you’ll need to be an excellent communicator with good resilience and perseverance. No two days are the same for our sales ledger team, and you will often receive ad-hoc queries from colleagues around the business, which you will also be responsible for investigating and resolving.

This role presents a fantastic opportunity to gain a basic understanding of our finance operations, providing a platform for progression and development within a fast-paced and dynamic team.

Our perfect Sales Ledger Clerk would be:

• Either studying or looking to study ICM or AAT (or equivalent)
• An excellent communicator with strong numerical skills
• Familiar with using SAP systems (desirable)
• Resilient with the ability to negotiate
• Organised with excellent attention to detail

The hours you would work:

Monday to Friday, 8.30am until 5pm (37.5 hours per week).
