This is a great full-time opportunity for a hard working administrator/assistant to join our busy team based in Gillingham, Kent.
The Kings Ferry is part of National Express plc and operates the largest fleet of coaches in the South East. We carry out a range of private and contract hires to schools, social groups, football teams, travel companies and blue chip clients. We also operate 38 commuter services into London carrying over 1,000 passengers per day from Medway, Swale and Maidstone.
Through our Kings Ferry Connections division we employ the services of hundreds of quality coach hire operators throughout the UK, Europe and Worldwide. Using our pool of fully audited partner operators we provide our customers with a one stop solution for all their ground transport requirements. Our travel solutions are bespoke to ensure the safe and efficient transport of our customer’s year on year.
Shift:
Sat – 15:30 – 23:00
Sun – 15:30 – 23:30
Mon - 10:30 - 19:00
Tues - 10:30 - 19:00
Wed - 10:30 - 19:00
*Week day training is essential potentially during evenings
Role:
You will be working within Kings Ferry Connections department to help support the introduction and continued growth of a new contract as well as the day to day management of an established contract. Your primary function will be to complete all administrative tasks associated with these contracts. You will also be the first point of contact for our passengers and partner operators offering assistance and support as required.
The ideal candidates will have experience of working in an often high-pressured environment and the ability to cope under pressure is essential. Good telephony skills, an aptitude for attention to detail and a desire to provide excellent customer service in line with The Kings Ferry company values.
Your daily duties will include but not be limited to:
• Liaising with customers/suppliers via telephone/email
• Data entry & planning
• Service analysis
• Maintaining systems and processes
• General office administrative duties
• Administrative tasks in line with business need.
• Inbound/Outbound Client Calls.
• Liaising with Third Party Suppliers.
• Monitoring of email inbox.
• Dealing with out of hours general customer queries.
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills:
• Excellent communication skills
• A team player with good interpersonal skills who can interact with colleagues and clients
• An ability to work under pressure, manage their workload and own time
• Quick learner with the determination to succeed
• Strong organisational skills
• Be flexible in working hours to meet the demands of the business when necessary
• Ability to follow management instructions
• Strong time management skills and the ability to work to deadlines
• The ability to work effectively and retain a calm disposition and problem solving logic in pressurised situations.
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
