Helpdesk Assistant – MT1816
Our successful client, a facilities management company, based on the Medway City Estate have a new position available for a Helpdesk Assistant to join their very busy team.
The role is varied & requires excellent customer service skills as well as a great deal of attention to detail as you will be speaking to clients & members of the public helping them with their queries, bookings & complaints. The ideal candidate will have worked in a busy Helpdesk department previously and is preferably used to a busy and fast paced environment. Experience in using all Microsoft packages including Outlook, Word & Excel is essential as well as a positive and friendly attitude.
Our client is looking for candidates that have the following excellent experience:
- Excellent telephone manner - as candidates would be the first point of contact for anybody contacting the business by telephone
- Excellent administration and coordination skills - as candidates would be responsible for logging customer calls and jobs on to the system and updating them at different stages
- Excellent customer service skills - as the candidates will be dealing with clients on a day-to-day basis and assisting them with problems and enquiries and keeping them informed about the status of their job.
This position will start off as a Temp role while you are on your 3 months’ probation but will become a permanent position for the right dedicated, efficient candidate.
Due to the clients location having your own transport would be ideal due the location of the business.
Office hours are Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm one week and 9am to 6pm the following week on a reoccurring basis. With a 1 hour lunch break.
The salary on offer would be as follows:
£12272.20 per annum/£5.90 per hour for those aged 18 – 20
£15350.40 per annum/£7.38 per hour for those aged 21 – 24
£16286.40 per annum/£7.83 per hour for those aged 25 & over
Salaries will be reviewed after 6 months then potentially again after 12 months of employment.
Compulsory National Living Wage was introduced in April 2016. This has just been increased to £7.83 per hour for all working people aged 25 and over. This will be over and above the National Minimum Wage of £7.38 which will remain in place for those aged 21 – 24 and £5.90 for those aged 18 - 20
