Farrer Barnes is currently working alongside a highly reputable company with a nationwide presence towards the appointment of a Credit Control Team Leader. Reporting into the Finance Manager, the role will require you to contribute the success of company by providing effective and timely support to the finance and administrative functions.
Due to the nature of the role, the ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience within a similar role. It is imperative that you have management experience as you will be required to oversee a small team.
Key responsibilities and accountabilities, includes but not limited to: -
- Manages the Company`s Accounts Payable function; third party, intercompany and staff expenses payments.
- Maintains purchase ledger and associated control accounts to include extensive reconciliation of transit accounts within the purchase cycle.
- Reviews and prepares payment proposals and bi-monthly settlement of liabilities via manual cheques, BACS and other e-banking software.
- Accountable for the Direct Debit collections on a daily basis
- Reviews intercompany invoices and payments, liaises with internal departments, associated companies and management as required.
- Inputs invoices, credit notes, payments and undertakes ledger maintenance.
- Willingly provides relevant information relating to financial and commercial matters to internal and external customers/stakeholders.
- Controls and manages internal reporting timetables for month end close processes.
- Prepares ledger reports and date for Group reporting purposes.
- Develops a rapport with third parties as and when required so as to be able to support the effective implementation of creditor policies.
- Deputise for the Finance Manaer as required.
Essential
- Educated to A Level standard or equivalent
Desirable
- Part qualified ACCA/ACA/CIMA or AAT 4 qualified
