Due to a period of impressive growth and expansion, my forward thinking client based in the heart of London`s West End is looking to recruit a dynamic and well educated Assistant Accountant. Reporting directly to the Group Finance Director and working to specific deadlines you will play a hugely important role in the continued success of this company.

You will be expected to prepare monthly management accounts to include profit and loss and balance sheet reconciliations. This role will also involve overseeing both sales and purchase invoicing procedures, VAT returns and staff expenses. This position will involve closely working with and mentoring junior colleagues and the wider management function. A confident approach is essential with the ability to work on your own but also a willingness to offer solutions and improvements to the current systems.

It is imperative that you have experience of working with Sage accounts and advanced Excel skills with a strong understanding of spreadsheets as this role will involve reporting and presenting to senior management. You must be reliable, highly numerate and methodical in prioritising your workload with a high degree of discretion as you will be working with confidential information. Previous experience is essential, as is the attitude to succeed and progress. The minimum technical requirement for this opportunity is AAT Qualified or someone who is studying towards their CIMA/ ACCA qualifications.
