Assistant Cook

Location: Meadowside Dartford
Wage £8.00 per hour

Permanent part-time post 22.5 hours per week. 4.5 hrs per day Monday to Friday 9.30am – 2.00pm

Age UK North West Kent is a local independent registered charity and company working to promote the well-being of older people living in the Boroughs of Dartford and Gravesham. It has a high reputation for the quality of its meals provision.

Reporting to the Catering Supervisor, the post holder will primarily assist with cooking duties and general kitchen duties at our commercial kitchen site in Meadowside, Dartford, but on occasion may be required to work at our Gravesend centre.

The charity is seeking a candidate who can cook a wide range of meals to a high standard, will work to the highest standards of food hygiene and cleanliness, be part of an excellent catering team, and be flexible delivering varied tasks and duties. On a daily basis the post holder will assist the catering supervisor in preparing, cooking and serving main meals for our day service clients.

The post holder will have proven experience of working in a commercial kitchen and hold the relevant Food Hygiene qualifications, however training will be available.
